Our client is a global business which plays an integral role in the financial markets. This organisation operates across numerous market sectors in APAC and EMEA, providing a range of services to listed and unlisted corporations.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Legal (based in London), you will be the lead lawyer for one of this global organisation’s business units in APAC. In this varied and diverse role, you will provide commercially focused advice to the business on matters including corporate, commercial, financial services, litigation/disputes, and data privacy. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing advice on corporate regulatory matters, particularly as they relate to the capital markets.
- Advise the business on the legal risk implications of new and existing customer products, solutions, and services.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Ensuring that the business unit operates with good governance.
You will be a corporate, financial services regulatory or commercial lawyer with an interest in capital markets/equities. You will be comfortable working in a team, but also possess the confidence to work autonomously. You will have a commercial and pragmatic approach to your work, and an interest in working in an international environment.
