The Legal department at this global organisation is a vibrant and diverse business unit and is one of several specialist support functions within the Chief Operating Officer’s portfolio.

Responsible for the management of all legal matters, the Legal department provides comprehensive legal advice and services to senior management and staff on matters that relate to the organisation’s governance and its diverse endeavours. The Legal department also coordinates access to external legal services as required.

About the Role

This newly created and senior role will be dedicated to supporting and enabling major research projects and collaborations, clinical trials, IP protection and engagement with industry.

Reporting to a Director, you will be a key senior member of the legal team responsible for the delivery of high quality, strategically aligned legal advice on a wide range of legal matters. You will provide leadership, guidance and support to more junior lawyers in the team.


About You

You have significant experience in some or all of the following areas: clinical trials, research, biotechnology and pharmaceutical law.

You enjoy building effective relationships with clients and senior  stakeholders, and have a customer-centric approach.

You bring to the role a high level of maturity, gravitas and excellent  communication skills.
