Katherine Sampson is the owner and Managing Director of Mahlab (Victoria), where she manages the business and leads the executive search practice.

Lured from her role as a commercial litigation lawyer in the mid 1980s to join the pioneering firm, Kathie is just as enthusiastic today as she was then about the company’s mission to provide lawyers with career-defining opportunities, and employers with the highest calibre legal talent in Australia.

She gets a kick out of working with great people, shaping the lives of candidates, and adding value to clients’ organisations.

Kathie is a trustee director of industry super fund CareSuper, where she chairs the Development & Product Committee and sits on the Governance & Remuneration Committee.

She has also enjoyed non-executive director roles in not-for-profit organisations including Craft Victoria, Walter & Eliza Hall Institute Ethics Committee, Melbourne International Arts Festival, Monash Law School Foundation and the Australian Press Council.

She has an inexhaustible interest in her team, candidates and clients, the profession and business as well as art, native gardens, bees and books.
